I am a 100% noob with tmi.js but I have a simple bot built that logs into multiple chats; it works fine. I'm trying to use it with the Cheer system so it detects cheers and responds with "Thank you for the x bits". Is there any sample code of this online or something? I have read the tmi.js docs and understand about the userstate and properties of the message, but I don't know how to 'reference' the bits portion of the message when I create the Say action to reply to it. It's hard to believe there aren't more examples I can look at online.

Nice tutorial, helped out a bit. If you need to access your bot at any time, you can also open a private tab and log in that way without having to log out of your primary account. For future reference, the site for OAuth generation is http://www.twitchapps.com/tmi
