For those of you who don't have the necessary tools/software, aren't artistically inclined, or don't wanna deal with the hassle: I'm always open for emote commissions if anybody is interested! Just click the twitter link in the description or shoot me an email! ♥

I don't normally comment on videos. This is such a simple video with good small tips and voice which you can hear clearly. Thanks a lot for the video.

Great video, can you please tell me again what software you prefer (multiple if possible) as I just bought a Wacom Intuos Pro and would like to try my hand at making Twitch emotes. I’ll also be using it to draw designs for my wood burning projects. Thank you very much!

Do you think that vector based emotes would look better downscaled or be easier to do??Also, how do you manage to draw the color of the eyes, tongue and the other without coloring over other things that are already coloured?

When I size down, I find my image becomes horribly pixelated. I'm one of those detail orientated artists you mentioned that isn't used to working at such tiny sizes. 🙂

7:12 what's the name of the tool u used to blend the color?

I'm a mod for an up and coming twitch streamer and he is starting to look for emote artists for his channel. Could you possibly give me some prices and I can pass along the info? Streamer is Roshe__ on twitch if you need to verify. Thank you and continue your wonderful work. You are very talented.

please can you send me this brushes for drawing emotycons ?

  • yeet 2 weeks ago

I'm having trouble with my emotes. I drew them as part of a bigger canvas (as in, they don't take up the entire canvas, only a small part of it), and when I shrink it down to the 3 sizes, one looks good but the other 2 look horrid and pixelated. :/

Hey could you please make a full tutorial on how to draw the emotes on photoshop

where can I get your brushes?

  • Tanja Ariens 2 weeks ago

I work on 1500×1500, does this matter? And do you keep your emotes when you've resized them at 300ppi? The reason I work on that canvas size is because that way it can be used in merchandise, or is that still possible on 500×500?

Hi Ariel how can i reach you? would like some on doing these.

  • DebbieeeCo 2 weeks ago

Would you be willing to make a full tutorial on which tools you're using and describing the use of layers, etc.? Something similar to the video you've done now, showing you making an emote with a more specific walk through (ie: "first I'm using ABC to create XYZ and using this tool to do this, then I'm going back and using this tool at this opacity to do the shading and highlighting", etc.)?

Close likeness, even when drawn from scratch can cause problems. Just saying.

Thank you so much for making this video. I am a character artist and I am getting into cartoon design now. Twitch emote designs have peaked my interest recently and I want to seriously get into it and start designing some. I just created my twitch art channel recently. I haven’t started any content but I plan on doing it but I want to make sure I’m doing it right so I stumbled upon your video first I want to say thank you for creating this video and pointing me in the right direction for creating content. If you have any more advice, I would be more than happy to hear it. Also I wanted to say that your content is really good you are really talented and I look forward to seeing more videos from you. Have a good day

The quality looks horrible at 28px X 28px when I resize the image, how do these other people manage to have the emotes appear sharp and high quality at such a small size?
